Why we work
in the open.
Shared infrastructure beats enclosure.
The next decade of AI will depend on agents reaching each other across platforms, companies, and jurisdictions. The protocols for that belong in the commons — not locked behind a vendor API.
Specifications before products.
We write the spec first, release it openly, and implement against it in the clear. If the spec is good, others can build too. If it's wrong, we find out early — while it can still change.
Adopt first, add second.
Where good standards already exist — MCP, A2A, OAuth, OpenAPI — we adapt and adopt. We only publish new protocols when the gap is real, the scope is clear, and the work isn't already being done.

NPS The agent network, assembled.
A five-protocol suite that takes AI agents from "calling tools" to "running on a network." NCP for transport, NWP for HTTP-like request/response, NIP for identity, NDP for discovery, NOP for multi-agent orchestration. Complementary to MCP and A2A, not a replacement.
